Many people told to me that: “My vocabulary is very poor; therefore, I cannot write.”Ido not agree with this opinion. If we wait until we know a lot of new words and this takes us a long time, our writing will become worse and worse. Moreover, if we do not write, we will not know how useful writing is. Actually, writing helps widen our vocabulary.
I will tell you my own story.
The first time I wrote a paragraph, I had to look up many words in my dictionary. And I hurried up writing all those words in my notebook to save it. I think it is good because I can open my notebook later to take those words for my writing next time. However; it is a fact that I have never opened my notebook to see those words again. Moreover, I cannot remember where I put my notebook. It is because I feel too bored and tired with seeing too long lines of words, which are as same as puppets in my eyes.
Then, I decided that I would not write any new words. Whenever I write an essay, I always put my dictionary next to me. When I need a word, I look up it in my dictionary. Then, I continue writing. When I need that word again, I look it up again. Actually, I have to look up many words, even familiar words I used to use in the previous times. But I am still patient enough to look up all words until one day, I do not have to look up as many words as I used have to look up before.
And I discovered a very interesting principle; I have used so many familiar words in all my essays. I met and I interacted with them for many times through both looking them up in dictionary and using them to write my essays. And I really did not know from when they have appeared and existed in my brain. When I need them, I do not have to look up them in dictionary anymore.
And I know they are most English popular words.
As I used to tell to you in the article: “Learn English vocabulary in a natural way”, we need only 3000 most popular words to read all English newspapers and books; similarly, you can also write most types of writing. Therefore, begin writing a paragraph or an essay every day. This will create a good habit for yourself.
If you think your vocabulary is not rich enough to write an essay, you will never write because of your fear. Believe that writing is one of the best ways to broaden your vocabulary. And writing does not depend on your vocabulary. Why? Because you have many dictionaries, Goodge translating, translating websites and other translating soft ware on Internet. If you need any word to help you express your idea, you can look up it in dictionary. Remember that you have to use dictionary because a dictionary is a bridge connecting English and your mother tongue. Without using dictionary when writing, you cannot write perfectly anything. Moreover, your mother tongue is not English. And there is nothing wrong when you do not know a lot of words. Hence, you have two choices:
1. You do not write and nothing will be improved. Your writing is always bad and your vocabulary is still poor.
2. You begin writing everyday and you can raise your source of vocabulary by looking up all words you need through dictionary.

Today you write a paragraph or an essay, you need many words. If you do not know any word, look it up in a dictionary, which translates from your mother tongue langue into English. You needn’t write that word into your notebook. It is useless because I am sure you will seldom see it again. Then, continue your writing. When you need that word again or any other words, look up them. Tomorrow you write another paragraph or essay, if you need any word, look up it in dictionary. The more you interact with a word by looking it up in dictionary and writing it, the more you remember it. Then and then, you should keep the process I have told you. After a long time, I am sure you will be surprised with your vocabulary. You have known more and more words. As a result, your vocabulary is richer and richer. Moreover, your writing is also better.
