Topic: Global issues



Topic: What  are most concerning for students? What should student’s role be in solving those problems?
In this topic, we have to solve two questions
- What  are most concerning for students?
+, Water pollution, Destruction of the rain forest, Global warming, poverty, War, Terrorism, Overpopulation, Crime, and AIDS.
+Why are those problems more concerning for students?
- What should student’s role be in solving those problems?
+What can we do to solve or to reduce those ?
+Do students play an important role in solving those problems?
*Discussion
You can choose any global issue as long as you can describe it to your group. Besides, you should suggest the ways to solve it.
Ask and answer some questionsHow, Where, What, Why, and When.
+Why are those problems more concerning for students?
+The places where that global issue appears/happens most common.
+How is its danger to people?
+When does it appear?
+How does it affect our life?
+What can you do to solve that problem?
+Do you want to invite your friends to solve that problem with you?

>>You know, the more modern the society is, the more polluted the air is.
>>I agree with you. There is a great amount of companies and factories in the world. Although they produce people with many good products, they have been discharging many industrial wastes and smoke into our environment

>>Additional, people have many bad habits in daily life. We can fire many things easily. And in some areas, people stills use woods or leaves to make fire to cook.
>>We have more money and we use more modern vehicles. We ride motorbike and car instead of riding bicycle or walking to school/office. And the engine from motorbike or car discharge many harmful chemicals into the air.

>>Hm…Let’s see…..Ah. Many constructions have not been completed such as streets/ roads. The quality of many streets/roads is low and there are many dusts on those streets/roads.

>>I think that  is destroying our health. We can get many dangerous diseases about respiration such as breaking, lung cancer, cough, and throat more easily ands quickly.
>>Besides, many students complain about the dust situation of many roads/streets. Their body and clothes become dirty very fast.
- Therefore, what should student’s role be in solving ?
-Do students play an important part in solving ?
>> Of course. They play an important role.
>>Students should be aware of keeping the environment clean and clear
-What can they do to solve  problem?
>>Ok! They should save the environment by doing many simple things
-What are they?
>>Ah, they should put the wastes in the bin, grow more trees in their house and clean their house everyday.
>>They should walk or ride bicycle to school if they live near school.
>>Good idea. Students can set up volunteer groups to save the air. Every week, they can go to somewhere to collect the wastes.
>>Moreover, they should propage their activities to everyone. They should advice people to keep the air clean.
>They can invite their friends to be a volunteer like them.
>They can make projects or programs to solve  problem.
